Author – Group Captain Biswanath Nandi (Retd), is a gold medalist from Burdwan University in MSc(Physics) and alumnus of IIT, Delhi. He completed his PhD in the field of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) from Centre for Atmospheric Science. Served Meteorological branch of Indian Air force for 33 years in various capacity as teacher and guide in Air Force Administrative College at Coimbatore, forecaster during field tenure and founder of Centre for Numerical Weather Prediction for Indian Air Force. Currently head of the Meteorology department and in with Indigo Airlines for past 17 years. Celebrating as professional meteorologist for last 50 years.
